Sandhya 70mm Theatre Stampede Case: Chargesheet Filed

Hyderabad Police have completed the investigation into the Sandhya 70mm Theatre stampede incident and filed a chargesheet before the Hon’ble Court on December 24, 2025. According to Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, the investigation revealed serious failures in planning, crowd control, security arrangements and coordination between the theatre management, event organisers, private security staff and others involved.

A total of 23 persons have been named as accused in the case. Out of them, 14 were arrested, while nine accused who obtained anticipatory bail were served notices. The accused include partners and staff of Sandhya 70mm Theatre, event organisers, bouncers, private security personnel and others connected to the incident. Actor Allu Arjun, along with members of his management and security team, has also been named in the chargesheet.
