Another RTC bus accident has been reported in Telangana, sparking panic among passengers. Just days after the tragic Ranga Reddy mishap that claimed 19 lives, yet another near-miss incident occurred in Sangareddy district. According to reports, the RTC bus belonging to the Medchal depot was traveling from Medchal to Isnapur when the driver lost control near Muthangi on National Highway 65. While trying to avoid a car ahead, the bus’s brakes suddenly failed, causing it to jump the divider and hit an electric pole.
Around 20 passengers were on board at the time, but fortunately, no one was injured. The passengers heaved a sigh of relief after narrowly escaping the mishap. Police from Patancheru rushed to the spot and confirmed that a technical failure in the bus system led to the accident.
With back-to-back RTC bus mishaps being reported in the state, passengers have expressed growing concern over safety standards and vehicle maintenance.
