The Telangana government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities and financial misconduct within the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). Four cases registered against the association have been transferred to the SIT for a detailed and comprehensive investigation.
The SIT will examine both previously registered cases and fresh complaints related to the functioning of the HCA. Earlier allegations claimed that funds received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) were misused. As part of the ongoing investigation, the CID had already arrested key office-bearers, including the HCA president and secretary. The newly formed SIT is expected to further scrutinize the allegations and determine accountability.
