AP: Farmers who lost their crops due to the recent cyclone have received major relief from the Andhra Pradesh government. Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu announced that the crop compensation amount will be increased from ₹17,000 to ₹25,000 per hectare. Additionally, banana farmers will receive an extra ₹10,000, and damaged coconut trees will be compensated at ₹1,500 per tree.
The minister stated that the assessment of crop losses across the state is progressing rapidly and that 100% of the evaluations will be completed today (November 11). He assured that the government is committed to providing input subsidies to farmers on time and will extend full support to those affected by the cyclone.
