The Government of Canada has provided relief to Indian visa applicants by streamlining and accelerating the processing of temporary residence applications, including visitor visas, study permits, and super visas. The Immigration Department of Canada recently confirmed these updates, stating that the processing system has been made more efficient.
As per the revised timelines, visitor visa processing has been reduced from 37 days to 23 days. Study permit processing has been shortened from 4 weeks to 3 weeks. Similarly, super visa processing time has been brought down from 202 days to 182 days. Officials noted that these improvements reflect positive progress in temporary visa categories. They also clarified that processing times may still vary depending on application volume, visa type and workload.
