A new premium theatre named “PCX HDR by Barco” has been inaugurated at Prasads Multiplex in Hyderabad by Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. This advanced auditorium is designed to deliver enhanced brightness, contrast, and an immersive sound experience for moviegoers.
The theatre features one of the largest HDR screens in Asia. It uses a Barco 4K laser HDR projector equipped with Light Steering technology, capable of delivering brightness up to 300 nits. This significantly improves image clarity, color depth, and contrast levels.
The auditorium has a seating capacity of 390 and includes a flat aspect ratio screen, modern interiors, comfortable seating, and an upgraded sound system to ensure a premium cinematic experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Prasads Multiplex Managing Director Ramesh Prasad stated that the organization has consistently introduced advanced technologies, including 4K projection, Dolby Atmos, and dual laser projection. With PCX HDR, they aim to elevate visual quality further.
The existing PCX screen has been rebranded as “PCX Infinity,” continuing to be one of the largest cinema screens in India. Established in 2003 near Hussain Sagar, Prasads Multiplex has evolved into a major entertainment hub.
MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and others also attended the event.
