No Drunk and Drive – We Provide Free Dropping

As New Year celebrations are set to begin in a few hours, people from youth to the elderly will immerse themselves in the festivities, with some indulging in alcohol. To prevent drunk driving, the Telangana Gig and Platforms Workers Union (TGPWU) has announced free drop-off services for those who are intoxicated and unable to drive home safely. Anyone who has consumed alcohol can call the number 8977009804 to avail this free ride facility. The union clarified that the primary goal is to discourage drunk driving by providing this free transportation service.

These free services will be available from 11:00 PM on December 31 to 1:00 AM on January 1, within the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda Commissionerate limits. The TGPWU reminded that they have been offering such free rides on New Year's Eve for the past eight years. This year, around 500 vehicles, including cabs, autos, and EV bikes, will be deployed for this initiative. The program is being conducted under the campaign #HumAapkeSaathHai.
