

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to align MMTS services with the needs of commuters in the core urban areas of Hyderabad. During a review meeting held at the Legislative Council Hall, the Chief Minister expressed concern over the declining number of MMTS passengers over the years and emphasized the need for immediate improvements.
He instructed officials to increase the number of trains during office hours and ensure strict adherence to schedules. The Chief Minister also highlighted the lack of connectivity to MMTS stations and suggested exploring mini-bus services to improve last-mile connectivity. He further directed that all necessary passenger amenities be upgraded at stations and advised officials to explore ways to enhance revenue generation while increasing ridership.
