Heavy rush of devotees during the Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Jatara has turned the entire Medaram region into a sea of people. With Sammakka and Saralamma seated on the gaddelu, lakhs of devotees gathered for darshan. Continuous chants of “Sammakka… Saralamma” echoed across the forest region, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere, while surrounding areas remained overcrowded.
Due to the massive influx, severe traffic congestion was reported from Medaram to Tadvai, stretching nearly 14 kilometers. Vehicles remained stranded at multiple locations, with the journey taking up to three hours. Heavy traffic was also witnessed near Esta in Govindaraopet mandal. Police diverted private vehicles via the Pusta route, while RTC and VIP vehicles were allowed through the Tadvai route. Despite extensive arrangements for the jatara, inadequate traffic management led to significant inconvenience for devotees.
