Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share an update on the progress of LG Electronics’ world-class manufacturing facility coming up at Sri City. He stated that the project is advancing at a rapid pace following the official handover of land in May 2025. Being developed with an investment of ₹5,000 crore across 247 acres, this plant will become LG’s third manufacturing unit in India. The facility will produce refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and key electronic components.
He further noted that production is scheduled to commence by the end of 2026, with phased expansion planned through 2029. Lokesh highlighted that the project will generate thousands of employment opportunities and significantly strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a preferred destination for investors, reinforcing the state’s manufacturing ecosystem and economic growth.
