A major question paper leak has been uncovered at Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University. The university administration has cancelled the admissions of 35 students who were pursuing BSc Agriculture under the in-service quota and sent them back.
The irregularities came to light during surprise inspections conducted by Vice-Chancellor Aldas Janayya at the Jagityal Agricultural College. CCTV footage revealed that question papers were shared in advance through WhatsApp with the assistance of staff members.
An internal committee confirmed that large sums of money were collected from students in exchange for the leaked papers. Following the findings, the university suspended one senior official along with four staff members.
Officials believe that such malpractices may have been occurring for several years. A detailed investigation is underway, and further action against those involved is expected.
