Israel has issued a strong warning stating that it will track down and eliminate Iran’s new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei wherever he may be. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) asserted that anyone posing a threat to the country remains on its target list. However, IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin clarified that they currently have no confirmed information regarding Khamenei’s whereabouts, while emphasizing that hostile figures cannot evade Israeli action.
Meanwhile, Iran dismissed reports suggesting that Khamenei had been moved to Russia for medical treatment following recent attacks, calling them psychological warfare. Iran’s Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, stated that Iranian leaders do not hide and remain among the people. In a related development, senior Iranian military figure Ali Larijani and Basij militia chief General Gholam Reza Soleimani were reportedly killed in Israeli strikes. Iranian authorities confirmed Larijani’s death, stating that he was at his daughter’s residence during the attack, where his son and aides also lost their lives.
