Women’s cricket continues to gain massive popularity worldwide, especially in cricket-loving nations like India, where the achievements of women cricketers have been remarkable. After winning the 2025 ODI World Cup, the Indian women’s team is now aiming for another milestone. The BCCI has announced a strong 15-member squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to begin on June 14 in England and Wales.
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, while Smriti Mandhana has been named vice-captain. The squad includes key players such as Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Richa Ghosh. Young talents like Bharati Fulmali and Nandini Sharma have also been included based on strong WPL performances. Renuka Singh Thakur will spearhead the pace attack, while the spin department will be handled by Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, and Shri Charani. Experienced players like Harleen Deol and Sneh Rana have missed out, and the squad has been finalized without standby players.
