The land acquisition process for the upcoming Google Data Center in Visakhapatnam has gained strong momentum, with compensation payments now reaching farmers. Spread across 588 acres in Tharluwada, Adavivaram and Rambilli, the project marks a major boost for Andhra Pradesh’s growing digital and technology ecosystem. Officials say most procedural formalities are nearly complete, paving the way for the foundation stone ceremony soon.
The state government views the data center as a landmark investment that will drive digital infrastructure growth, strengthen connectivity and generate direct as well as indirect employment in the region. Local farmers have welcomed the swift progress, believing the project will bring long-term development and economic opportunities to Vizag and neighbouring areas.
