India has expressed deep concern over the loss of its sailors in recent attacks on commercial ships in the Gulf region. During an international meeting held in the UK, more than 60 countries came together to discuss ways to keep the Hormuz Strait open and safe for global trade. India was represented virtually by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
Speaking at the meeting, he said that India is the only country that has lost sailors in these attacks so far. At least three Indian sailors have died in the region, which has raised serious concerns for the safety of maritime workers. He stressed that such incidents are worrying and need urgent attention.
India strongly suggested that the issue should be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic efforts rather than conflict. The country urged all parties involved to work together to ensure peace and protect the lives of sailors and the flow of international trade.
