The Intermediate annual examinations will commence from the 25th of this month. First-year exams will begin on Wednesday, followed by second-year exams on Thursday, said Inter Education Secretary Krishna Aditya. He confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been completed.
A total of 1,495 examination centres have been set up across 33 districts. Around 4,89,126 first-year students and 5,07,949 second-year students, totaling 9,97,075 candidates, are expected to appear for the exams.
Students arriving up to five minutes late will be allowed to enter examination centres. Special RTC buses will operate to ensure smooth transportation. CCTV cameras and wall clocks have been installed at all centres.
To help students cope with exam stress and anxiety, helpline numbers 14416 and 80693 91416 have been made available for counselling support. Separately, the government is taking special measures to transform Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions. Proposals are being prepared to allocate around ₹50 crore per institution to improve infrastructure, aiming to provide corporate-level facilities to students.
