Civil Aviation Minister Meets Executives of Three New Airlines Amid Concerns Over IndiGo’s Market Dominance. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has met executives of three emerging domestic airlines amid concerns over IndiGo’s growing dominance in the sector. In a social media post, the minister said he held discussions with teams from Shankh Air, Alhind Air and Fly Express, all aspiring to launch operations in Indian skies. Alhind Air and Hyderabad-based Fly Express have received No Objection Certificates from the DGCA this week, while Shankh Air plans low-cost connectivity between major cities in Uttar Pradesh. The minister said the government is encouraging new entrants in the fast-growing aviation market, citing schemes like UDAN that have helped smaller carriers expand regional connectivity, with further growth expected.
