The Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple is bustling with devotees during the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan. Since the beginning of the new year, a large number of devotees from across the country have been flocking to have a darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Millions of devotees are arriving at Tirumala to have darshan through the Vaikuntha Dwara (celestial gate), which was opened on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi and Dwadashi.
On Saturday, 88,662 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara through the Vaikuntha Dwara. With darshans continuing uninterrupted from morning till night, the Tirumala temple premises were overflowing with devotees. The darshan process proceeded smoothly thanks to the efficient arrangements made by the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) officials.
Since the commencement of the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan, 3,74,228 devotees have had darshan of the Lord in just five days. TTD officials stated that this is a significant number compared to previous years. Considering the heavy rush of devotees, additional queue lines, food distribution, drinking water, and medical facilities have been arranged.
Along with the increase in the number of devotees, the hundi (donation box) revenue has also increased significantly. It is noteworthy that the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple's hundi revenue crossed the Rs. 5 crore mark at the very beginning of this year. TTD officials announced that a revenue of Rs. 5.05 crore was received through the hundi on Saturday alone. Officials stated that this reflects the unwavering devotion of the devotees.
