The state government has taken another key decision to promote financial empowerment among women. As part of this initiative, electric buses will be introduced in the city and handed over to women self - help groups, said District Incharge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. In the first phase, 40 to 50 SHGs in Greater Hyderabad will receive these buses.
The minister stated that similar initiatives in rural areas have successfully generated additional income for women groups, and the same model will now be implemented in urban areas. The move aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women in the city.
