Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy took part in the self-enumeration process for the 2027 Census in Telangana, which officially commenced on April 26, 2026. Using the designated online census portal, the Minister registered his personal details and urged citizens to actively participate in the process. Addressing a press conference organized by the Telangana Census Office in Hyderabad, he emphasized that population census data forms the foundation of national development, enabling effective governance, policy planning, and inclusive growth.
Highlighting the significance of the upcoming census, the Minister stated that the use of advanced digital technology marks a transformative phase, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and inclusiveness. The self-enumeration facility will be available from April 26 to May 10, 2026, followed by the house-listing phase from May 11 to June 9. He stressed that accurate data collection would play a vital role in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat.” Officials also confirmed that citizens can complete the process through the official portal and that all submitted information will remain confidential.
