

Chittoor district is witnessing a sharp rise in temperatures, with heatwave conditions intensifying day by day. The impact of El Nino has been visible over the past three days, leading to unusually high temperatures across several mandals. Many areas have recorded temperatures exceeding 40°C, with Srirangarajapuram registering the highest at 41.5°C. Other regions such as Vijayapuram and Nagari also reported temperatures above 41°C.
Weather experts have warned that daytime temperatures are likely to remain above 40°C for the next five days, while nighttime temperatures may range between 25.2°C and 26.5°C. The combination of heat and humidity is expected to cause discomfort among residents. Authorities have advised people to take necessary precautions as extreme weather conditions continue to prevail across the district.
