A major fire broke out at a furniture shop in Nampally and rescue operations are ongoing with the help of a Robo Fire Mission. The cellar, filled with furniture, is making rescue efforts challenging. Flames have spread across all four floors, with eight fire personnel working to control the blaze.
Locals reported that two children, Akhil (7) and Praneeth (11), are still trapped inside. In total, six people from three families working in the warehouse are trapped. Among them, two children from the watchmen’s family and four adults from another family are stuck.
Heavy traffic has built up in surrounding areas, including Abids, MJ Market and Charminar. Police have advised the public not to visit the Nampally exhibition and to postpone their trips due to the ongoing fire emergency.
