The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple, has once again warned devotees to be vigilant against fake websites and middlemen. The matter came to light after a devotee from Kerala, C.K. Sureshbabu, filed a complaint against an incident where he was charged money by claiming to be arranging rooms in the name of ‘Karnataka Pravasi Soudha’.
During the investigation by the TTD vigilance department, it was found that some unknown persons were creating fake websites using Tirumala temple images and the name of TTD and promoting them on Google. These were posing as official booking platforms and were charging money online. In this context, the IT department has filed a complaint with the police and registered cases under the Copyright Act. TTD has clarified that darshan, accommodation and service tickets should be booked only through the official website https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in Devotees were asked to immediately report suspicious websites, links, and phone calls.
