Recent political developments in Tamil Nadu have sparked widespread debate in both film and political circles. Following actor Vijay launching his political party, discussions around his personal life have intensified. Reports and social media speculation regarding his alleged divorce and rumored association with actress Trisha Krishnan have further fueled the controversy, drawing criticism over the nature of political discourse.
Reacting to the issue, Manchu Vishnu strongly objected to dragging actresses into political narratives. He termed such actions as highly inappropriate and emphasized that personal lives of film personalities should not be exploited for political gain. Vishnu stated that actors, beyond their on-screen roles, have emotions, dignity, and families, and deserve privacy. He urged society and political groups to maintain basic respect, especially towards women, and avoid using them as tools for sensationalism. Stressing that criticism in politics should not cross ethical boundaries, he called for more responsible and respectful public discourse.
