Devotees who arrived from faraway places for darshan at the famous Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple were left disappointed after temple authorities suddenly stopped darshan without any prior notice. Many devotees waited outside since early morning, only to find the main gate locked and iron barricades placed to restrict entry.
Despite the cold weather, devotees continued waiting for hours, expressing anguish that their pilgrimage had gone in vain. In response, the temple administration arranged live visuals of the deity on LED screens and also displayed the idol’s image on a mobile chariot for public viewing. Officials stated that darshan is currently being allowed at the Bhimeshwara Temple due to ongoing expansion works. However, devotees expressed anger that such decisions should be announced beforehand to avoid hardship.
