Cyclone Montha Turns Fierce: Andhra Braces for Landfall Between Kakinada and Machilipatnam Tonight!

Cyclone Montha over the west-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm, the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) reported.

The system is currently moving at a speed of 15 kmph and is centered around 190 km from Machilipatnam, 270 km from Kakinada, and 340 km from Visakhapatnam.

According to APSDMA, Montha is expected to make landfall between Kakinada and Machilipatnam tonight, bringing strong winds of 90–110 kmph.

Authorities have urged the public to stay indoors and remain safe until the situation stabilizes.
