Narendra Modi stated that the days of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala are numbered. Speaking at an election rally held in the Pathanamthitta district, he expressed confidence that the formation of a BJP-led NDA government in the state is inevitable. He noted that party workers report a growing sentiment among the people of the state to bid farewell to Leftist rule.
Modi remarked that despite possessing immense potential for development, Kerala lags behind other states. He pledged to steer Kerala on the same path of progress witnessed in Goa and the Northeastern states under BJP governance. He criticized the delay in the Sabari Rail Project, stating that the public has suffered as a result. Furthermore, he alleged that both the LDF and UDF governments have exploited the Sabarimala issue for their own political gains.
Modi observed that while the LDF and UDF mutually criticize the BJP as a "B-team," the BJP is, in fact, the true "A-team" in Kerala. He warned that if the NDA comes to power, action will be taken against those responsible for the transgressions that occurred at Sabarimala. He also emphasized that the safety and security of Keralites residing in Gulf nations remain a top priority for him.
Modi refuted claims suggesting that the number of Lok Sabha seats allocated to the southern states would be reduced. He further announced that a discussion regarding the provision of 33 percent reservation for women would soon take place in Parliament. Meanwhile, a massive crowd turned out for the Modi roadshow held in Thiruvananthapuram. Thousands of party workers participated in the roadshow, which began at Killipalam, and accorded a grand welcome to Modi.
