

Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya held a high-level meeting with Commonwealth Sport President Dr. Donald Rukare and senior officials regarding India’s preparations for the Commonwealth Games 2030. In the meeting, India strongly confirmed its commitment to hosting the Games in a world-class and athlete-focused way. India also explained its plan for sustainable development, modern technology use, and smooth organization of the event.
During the discussions, Dr. Mandaviya said that India is fully ready to welcome athletes and sports fans from around the world. He highlighted India’s cultural diversity and enthusiasm for hosting such a major international event. The Commonwealth Sport team appreciated India’s sports development programs under the leadership of the Prime Minister, including Khelo India and other grassroots initiatives. Both sides discussed planning, coordination, and long-term benefits, with Ahmedabad being seen as a strong option due to good infrastructure and connectivity.
