A fascinating case has emerged where a man reportedly earned huge profits by selling land on the Moon. With renewed global interest in lunar missions like Artemis-2, it has come to light that he had already claimed ownership of the Moon back in the 1980s by exploiting loopholes in international law. He then began selling plots claiming ownership rights.
So far, over 7 million people are said to have purchased these “moon plots,” generating nearly ₹100 crore in revenue. Even celebrities are believed to have shown interest in buying them. However, these land claims have no official legal recognition, making the entire concept questionable, yet widely discussed.
