In today’s OTT era, most films arrive on streaming platforms within a short time after their theatrical release. However, some movies take longer and now one such horror thriller has finally made its way to OTT in Telugu. “Sabdham”, starring Aadhi Pinisetty, was released in theatres on February 28 last year in both Tamil and Telugu. Despite expectations, the film did not perform well at the box office. Directed by Arivazhagan, who earlier worked with Aadhi, this film could not repeat their previous success.
The Tamil version of the movie was released on ZEE5 on March 24, followed by its Hindi version a few days later. Now, the Telugu dubbed version has also been made available, giving it a fresh chance to reach a wider audience on OTT.
The story is set in a medical college in Munnar, where students start dying under mysterious circumstances. To avoid public attention, the management hires a paranormal investigator, Vyoma Vaidyalingam, played by Aadhi Pinisetty. He uses special devices to hear sounds beyond human ability and communicate with spirits. As he investigates further, he begins to suspect a lecturer named Avantika, played by Lakshmi Menon. During a shocking discovery in the college library, he finds evidence of 42 spirits. Who are they, and how are they connected to the deaths? The rest of the story unfolds around these mysteries.
