Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has issued a stern call to District Collectors to ensure the absolute success of the government’s 'Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranali' initiative. Speaking at a high-level Collectors' Conference held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the CM emphasized that the responsibility of taking the government's vision and schemes to the grassroots level rests squarely on the shoulders of the district heads. He announced a critical 99-day action plan, spanning from March 6 to June 12, stating that this period would serve as a benchmark for every Collector’s performance and a foundation for their future service careers.
Taking a serious note of administrative negligence, the Chief Minister mandated that Collectors must spend at least 10 days every month on field visits. He expressed dissatisfaction with certain officials who toured for fewer than five days a month and warned that those failing to meet the field-visit criteria would face strict action. "You didn't become IAS officers by chance; it is a service of the highest honor. Your job is meaningful only when you work for the people," the CM remarked. He directed Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to monitor performance closely, reiterating that officials act as the "eyes and ears" of the government and must function as a reliable bridge between the administration and the public.
