The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that night temperatures will be higher than normal in many parts of the country from this month. As a result, the intensity of cold weather is expected to reduce gradually. At the same time, daytime temperatures are likely to rise, leading to increased heat.
According to the IMD, night temperatures are near normal in regions like Rayalaseema, South Coastal Andhra, Tamil Nadu and parts of Odisha. However, except for Kerala and central India, daytime temperatures in most parts of the country are being recorded above average.
