

APSRTC has made special arrangements for passengers travelling to their native places on the occasion of Sankranti. In view of the expected rush, the corporation has announced the operation of 8,432 special buses in addition to the regular services. Keeping the “Stree Shakti” scheme in mind, 6,000 special buses have been allocated for travel between villages, mandals and towns within the state. Another 2,432 special services will operate to major out-of-state destinations such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
During the days preceding the festival, 3,857 special buses will be operated, while 4,575 buses have been arranged for the return journey. A higher number of services have been earmarked for Hyderabad, along with special services to Bengaluru and Chennai. APSRTC has clarified that regular fares will apply for these special buses and that advance reservation facilities have been provided for long-distance services.
