

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh has stated that the state is becoming a key destination for tourism investments, as his two-day Mumbai visit concluded successfully. During the 21st Hotel Investment Conference South Asia (HICSA 2026) held at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, the minister led a high-level delegation to attract major investments in the tourism and hospitality sector. He highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s vast potential as a global tourism hub and held discussions with leading industry players including Amar Chitra Katha, Shrem Group, Aakar, Hyatt Hotels, Brigade Group, Lemon Tree Hotels, The Oberoi Group, and InterGlobe Enterprises.
A major highlight of the visit was a landmark agreement with Olive Group, under which an investment of around ₹500 crore will be made in Andhra Pradesh. This project aims to add over 2,000 hotel rooms across the state in the next three years, significantly boosting mid-scale and experiential hospitality infrastructure. The minister expressed confidence that this development will accelerate tourism growth and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a preferred investment destination in the hospitality sector.
