Akshaya Tritiya Boosts Jewellery Market Sales

Jewellery purchases witnessed a significant surge across the country on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Marking the auspicious festival, consumers showed strong interest in buying gold and silver ornaments, leading to brisk activity in the jewellery market.

It is estimated that gold and silver jewellery worth nearly Rs. 20,000 crore was sold nationwide. Trade sources stated that sales this year increased by 20 to 35 percent compared to the previous year.
