Air pollution in Hyderabad has reached dangerous levels. Due to the fog in the winter season, burning of waste, and vehicular emissions, the Air Quality Index (AQI) has increased significantly. Officials revealed that the AQI level in the city reached 261 in the early hours of Sunday. The fact that air quality, which should normally be in double digits, has reached this level is a cause for concern.
The impact of pollution is particularly high in areas such as Balanagar, Sanathnagar, Jeedimetla, and Mallapur. Doctors are warning that people with respiratory illnesses, sinusitis, and dust allergies are likely to face serious problems due to these conditions. They are advising people to wear masks when going outside as much as possible, and urging children and the elderly to take precautions. Officials are requesting city residents to be vigilant.
