The producers of actor Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan faced disappointment at the Supreme Court of India regarding the ongoing censor certification dispute. The apex court declined to intervene directly and instead directed the producers to approach the Madras High Court Division Bench for further relief.
The Supreme Court has advised the Madras High Court to deliver a decision on the matter by January 20. The controversy arose after the censor board made it clear that the film would be granted only an A (Adults Only) certificate, leading to objections from the makers and prompting legal intervention.
