Swara Bhasker’s Ayodhya Verdict Remarks Resurface, Video Goes Viral

Actor Swara Bhasker has once again drawn attention after a video discussing her reaction to the 2019 Ayodhya verdict resurfaced and went viral on social media. In the video, Bhasker recalled being “really ashamed” and “very upset” after the Supreme Court verdict. She also said that she had reached out to several Muslim friends, including actors Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, to express that she did not agree with the decision.

The renewed attention comes amid continued interest in Bhasker’s political and social commentary. In 2020, India’s Attorney General declined to grant consent for a contempt petition concerning her earlier comments on the Ayodhya judgment. The Attorney General reportedly observed that her remarks reflected her perception of the judgment.
