For the last decade, Keerthy Suresh has been one of the most loved actresses in South India. After the massive success of Mahanati, she won not just Telugu hearts but audiences across all South Indian states. Since then, she has continued to shine as a top actress with films in multiple languages.
At the peak of her career, Keerthy married her long-time boyfriend Antony Tuttle -- something fans came to know only a few months before the wedding. Recently, Keerthy revealed that their love story actually spans 15 long years.
She had earlier shared that she fell in love during her college days, and both focused on their careers for years before finally deciding to get married. But in a new interview, Keerthy opened up more deeply about their relationship -- especially the part where she playfully provoked Antony into proposing.
Their connection began during the Orkut era. Thanks to mutual friends, they became online buddies even before meeting in person. For about a month, they chatted non-stop before finally meeting at a restaurant in Kochi -- Keerthy with her family, and Antony with his friends.
Interestingly, Keerthy says she didn’t utter a single word to him throughout the time they were in the restaurant. But as she was leaving, she winked at him -- leaving Antony confused and shocked.
A few days later, when they coincidentally met in a mall, Keerthy playfully challenged him: “If you have the guts, then propose to me.” She laughed, saying no guy would ignore a challenge like that. And true enough, on New Year’s Day, Antony gathered the courage and proposed. Keerthy accepted on the spot -- and that’s how their love story began.
