Radhika Apte Makes Shocking Revelations About Bold Roles

Bollywood actress Radhika Apte has revealed that some filmmakers previously tried to make her perform kissing scenes even when they were not required by the story. In a recent interview, she said her bold roles early in her career led some people to assume that she would easily agree to such scenes. Apte recalled being asked to perform an action sequence wearing only lingerie and said she questioned what the scene was meant to achieve before refusing to do it.

Apte said she now asks filmmakers to clearly explain why an intimate scene is essential to a project. Recalling one such request, she said she was first asked to perform an action sequence with her shirt buttons undone and was later asked to do it in just lingerie. She declined, adding that revealing the identity of the person who made the request would surprise many people. Apte stressed that actresses should not be pressured to cross their personal boundaries simply to make a project successful. She is currently part of Netflix’s ‘Lust Stories 3’, which also features Siddhant Chaturvedi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee and Ali Fazal.
