Nolan's Bold Move Without Computer Graphics

Director Christopher Nolan has reportedly recreated the legendary Fall of Troy for his upcoming film The Odyssey without relying on green screens or computer generated backgrounds. Staying true to his filmmaking style, Nolan used practical effects by constructing a massive Trojan Horse and placing it partially buried in the sand near the sea, giving it the appearance of a real abandoned structure.

For the large scale battle scenes, Nolan employed around 750 real actors instead of using digital crowd duplication. The film was shot entirely at real outdoor locations across six countries, continuing his commitment to authentic visuals and practical filmmaking rather than heavy CGI.
