Even when films from the cinema industry initially receive positive word of mouth, some people deliberately portray them in a negative light and spread adverse publicity. They post critical content against actors, directors, and producers on YouTube and social media platforms. Such actions by certain YouTubers and social media influencers are causing significant distress to many celebrities. While some actors choose to ignore this negativity, others go as far as filing police complaints and issuing strong warnings to those spreading false narratives. Despite this, trolling of this nature continues unabated.
Recently, Global Star Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi has also become a target of negative propaganda. The film, being made in the Ram Charan–Buchi Babu Sana combination, is produced under the Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment banners. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, while Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Kannada star Shivarajkumar appear in key roles. With music composed by A.R. Rahman, the film is scheduled for release on March 27 next year. The recently released song Chikiri Chikiri has garnered 150 million views across five languages and continues to trend.
However, after some individuals created negative videos targeting the song, actor Vishwak Sen reacted strongly to the issue. He expressed anger over people who earn their livelihood from the industry yet attempt to demean it. Vishwak Sen criticized those who try to sabotage a film even before its release, calling them parasites. He shared a video on Twitter that was spreading negativity and condemned such behavior. Following his response, Mega fans have come out in support of Vishwak Sen, expressing strong displeasure toward those creating negativity around Ram Charan’s film.
