‘Epic’ Will Be a Beautiful Film: Vijay Deverakonda

The pre-release event of ‘Epic – First Semester’, starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, was held in Hyderabad. Directed by Aditya Haasan, who gained recognition with the web series ‘90s’, the youth-oriented entertainer is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11. Rowdy Star Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga attended the event as chief guests. Vijay said he was proud of Anand’s choice of films and expressed confidence that ‘Epic’ would become a beautiful film in his brother’s filmography. He also said Telugu cinema was currently witnessing a strong phase and hoped ‘Epic’ would mark the beginning of a successful run of films. Sandeep Reddy Vanga recalled Anand’s passion for cinema and praised his ability to naturally fit into every character. He appreciated Aditya Haasan’s writing, saying it felt like the work of an experienced writer, and wished the film a grand success.

Anand Deverakonda said ‘Epic’ represents the emotions, relationships and responsibilities young people experience in their early twenties. He described it as a natural love story in which audiences would be able to see themselves. Vaishnavi Chaitanya said she plays a character named Kadali and that the role taught her about confidence, courage and standing up for oneself. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi said the film portrays the relationship between a young man and woman in a realistic and pure manner and can be enjoyed with family members. Director Aditya Haasan said he was determined to live up to the trust audiences had placed in him. Actor Shivaji, music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab and other members of the team also wished the film success.
