Ajay Bhupathi Says No to ‘Mangalavaaram’ Remake

Director Ajay Bhupathi’s latest film ‘Srinivasa Mangapuram’, released on July 30, is currently running in theatres. In a recent interview, the filmmaker shared interesting details about his career-defining movies ‘RX 100’ and ‘Mangalavaaram’. He described ‘RX 100’ as a cult film and said that he introduced a unique concept where the heroine’s actions impact the hero’s life in a different way.

Ajay Bhupathi revealed that several films with similar themes were made after the success of ‘RX 100’. Speaking about ‘Mangalavaaram’, he said many Bollywood filmmakers approached him for remake rights, but he decided not to sell them as the original emotional impact might not be recreated. His latest film ‘Srinivasa Mangapuram’ features Jayakrishna and Rasha Thadani in lead roles.
