Whenever pan-India star Prabhas releases a film, expectations are always high. His latest movie The Raja Saab, released on January 9, opened to mixed responses. Directed by Maruthi, the horror comedy presented Prabhas in a vintage and fun avatar, which created good initial buzz. However, many viewers felt the story and humor did not fully meet expectations, leading to criticism on social media.
Despite being made on a massive budget and released on a pan-India scale, the film failed to perform as expected at the box office. Trade reports suggest the movie was made with a budget of around Rs 450 crore but managed to collect only about Rs 205 crore worldwide, resulting in losses for producers and distributors.
Meanwhile, a recent meeting between Prabhas and producer T G Vishwa Prasad has become a hot topic in Tollywood. It is said that Prabhas assured his full support to People Media Factory, promising to stand by the banner and work together again in the future. Industry circles say this gesture shows Prabhas’s strong personal bond and respect for producers, especially during tough times. Even after a box office setback, his support has strengthened his image as a star with a golden heart.
