Lokesh’s Offer to Y.S. Sunitha?

Political discussions surrounding Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter, Y.S. Sunitha, have gained attention in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the local-body elections. According to political buzz attributed to TDP sources, TDP leader Nara Lokesh is said to have asked Sunitha to contest as a ZPTC member from Lingala mandal, considered the home turf of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The reports further claim that she was offered the Zilla Parishad chairperson’s post if she won the ZPTC election.

However, neither Lokesh nor Sunitha has officially confirmed the reported offer. Separately, recent reports indicate that Sunitha’s name has entered discussions surrounding the Kadapa Zilla Parishad chairperson’s post. Reports said Sunitha and her husband Rajasekhar Reddy held discussions with an alliance leader regarding the local-body elections and that she proposed the name of Pradeep Reddy for the ZP chairperson’s post. The developments have led to speculation about whether Sunitha could take a more active role in electoral politics.
