Tamil star Dhanush has triggered speculation about a possible entry into politics following his recent remarks to fans. Speaking at a blood donation camp organised by his fans, the actor urged them not to restrict their activities to audio launches and fan gatherings but to actively participate in welfare initiatives in their respective localities. He asked them to understand the needs of families around them and extend whatever assistance they could. His remarks quickly went viral, prompting discussions on social media about whether he could follow the political path taken by actor Vijay, who launched the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). However, Dhanush has not made any formal announcement about entering politics.
Dhanush also addressed criticism surrounding the recognition received by his directorial venture ‘Raayan’. Acknowledging that audiences may feel there were better films that year, he said he respects fans expressing their opinions and affection for other movies. He added that he wants to enjoy the recognition without being distracted by criticism, while recalling that some of his earlier acclaimed films did not receive the awards he had expected. Dhanush specifically referred to films such as ‘Vada Chennai’, ‘Karnan’ and ‘Maryan’ while reflecting on how recognition can vary over the years.
