Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli are collaborating on an upcoming film titled Kaka, which is reportedly progressing at a brisk pace. According to industry buzz, around 85% of the filming has been completed, and the team aims to wrap up the remaining work before the first week of December. Adding to the interest surrounding the project, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is rumoured to be playing a key role. Although his screen time is said to be limited, the character is reportedly expected to have considerable significance in the story. However, the casting report has not yet been officially confirmed by the filmmakers.
The film is said to focus on family emotions and feature a distinctive storyline designed to present Chiranjeevi in a fresh role. KVN Productions, led by producers Venkat K. Narayana and Lohith, is backing the project on a large budget. Music is being composed by Thaman. Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli previously worked together on Waltair Veerayya, which achieved commercial success. The team is now working towards a festive release, with the producers announcing a worldwide theatrical release for Kaka on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranti season. Audience interest is likely to grow as further details about the cast, story and promotional campaign emerge.
