The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh has completed two years in office, with significant emphasis on restoring law and order, strengthening policing, and improving crime control mechanisms. According to official assessments, the state has witnessed improvements in public safety, quicker responses to crimes against women and children, enhanced use of technology in policing, and the expansion of CCTV surveillance networks. Recruitment and training of police personnel have also resumed, while stalled infrastructure projects such as the State Forensic Science Laboratory have been revived. Authorities say these measures have helped improve crime detection and strengthen public confidence in law enforcement.
Despite these developments, several challenges continue to attract public attention. Concerns remain over the availability of narcotics, including ganja and other drugs, and questions are being raised about the pace of investigations into alleged scams, land disputes, and corruption cases from the previous administration. Critics have also pointed to incidents of political violence and demanded stronger action against individuals involved in unlawful activities, irrespective of political affiliation. Analysts believe that while progress has been made in policing and crime control, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely completion of major investigations will remain crucial priorities for the government in the coming years.
