U.S. President Donald Trump made striking remarks regarding the agreement with Iran. Responding to a media query on the outcome of the deal, Trump said with a smile that he would take credit if the agreement succeeds, but would place the blame on Vice President J. D. Vance if it fails. He also advised his deputy to remain cautious. Trump further claimed that Tehran agreed to the deal without imposing major conditions and stated that he prioritized negotiations to prevent global economic disruption caused by tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump emphasized that the agreement was aimed at preventing a larger economic crisis and asserted that his authority and influence have no limits. Meanwhile, Vice President Vance expressed strong criticism of Israel, stating that Trump is the only global leader showing sympathy toward the nation. He added that Israel’s development has significantly relied on U.S. support and urged its leadership to recognize current realities. These remarks came after Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir suggested that Israel need not adhere strictly to the terms of the Iran-U.S. agreement, further intensifying the geopolitical debate.
